ITSO´s Capacity Building Initiative was put in place with the primary objective of raising awareness among individuals, organizations and institutions on policies, regulations, and technical aspects associated with the provision of satellite services.

This Initiative is an essential component of ITSO’s Strategic Plan. Through the initiative, ITSO believes it can offer its member States the necessary tools for the effective development and use of international public telecommunications services.

As a result of implementing the above Partnerships, more than 1500 participants have been trained since 2010. ITSO has provided on site capacity building training programs for satellite communications in several of its member countries.

Program Types

The programs are conducted through seminars or workshops and may be standardized or customized, depending on factors such as: the audience, level of expertise, intended duration of the sessions, etc.

STANDARD COURSES
Courses are typically completed within 5 days.

CUSTOMIZED COURSES
These are tailored to attendee’s specific needs in the areas of regulation, policy, technical concepts and practices.
