ITSO Symposium 2026

The Director General is pleased to inform all Parties that the ITSO Symposium will be held in-person only on September 29, 2026, as a pre-event to the Forty-Second Meeting of the Assembly of Parties (AP-42). The Symposium entitled “Satellite Developments Shaping Connectivity – An ITSO Perspective” will take place from 14:00 to 17:00 hours, at the American University Washington College of Law (AUWCL).

The Sixteenth Tripartite Meeting of the Heads of the European Telecommunications Satellite Organization (EUTELSAT IGO), the International Mobile Satellite Organization (IMSO) and the International Telecommunications Satellite Organization (ITSO), took place on 4 December 2025 at EUTELSAT IGO Headquarters in Paris, France. Hosted by Mr Piotr Dmochowski-Lipski, Executive Secretary of EUTELSAT IGO, the meeting was attended by Mr Laurent Parenté, Director General of IMSO, and by Dr Renata Brazil-David, Director General of ITSO, who participated remotely.

Today signifies another important step forward in the ongoing efforts of the International Telecommunications Satellite Organization (ITSO) to assure that all countries of the world have non-discriminatory access to advanced satellite telecommunications services on a global basis and thereby advancing the global ICT development agenda, with Dr. Renata Brazil-David assuming the position of Director General of ITSO, beginning an initial  four-year term extending through July 2029.

Fifteenth EUTELSAT IGO, IMSO and ITSO Tripartite Meeting

The 15th Tripartite Meeting of the Heads of the European Telecommunications Satellite Organization (EUTELSAT IGO), the International Mobile Satellite Organization (IMSO) and the International Telecommunications Satellite Organization (ITSO) took place on 25 November 2024 at the ITSO Headquarters in Washington DC. Hosted by ITSO Director General, Mr. Patrick Masambu, the meeting was attended by Mr. Piotr Dmochowski-Lipski, Executive Secretary, EUTELSAT IGO, Mr. Laurent Parenté, Director General, IMSO and the newly elected Director General of ITSO, Dr. Renata Brazil-David, whose mandate starts in July 2025.

ITSO Holds the 41st Meeting of the Assembly of Parties; Elects Dr. Renata Brazil-David as Director General

Washington DC, 10 October 2024 – Today, representatives from 94 Member States of the International Telecommunication Satellite Organization (ITSO) concluded their deliberations at the 41st Assembly of Parties. The meeting was held in Washington, D.C. at American University’s Washington College of Law and was chaired by Mr. Alexandru Cozma, Head of Delegation, the Party of Romania.
