The Director General is pleased to announce that Dr. Renata Brazil-David returned to ITSO on November 1st 2023.
Dr. Brazil-David, a national of Brazil, was the Director of Legal Affairs for over 9 years and was also the Deputy Director General of ITSO. She had to leave her position at ITSO due to lack of funding experienced by ITSO following Intelsat’s declaration of Chapter 11 so as to carry out financial restructuring. After leaving ITSO she joined Inmarsat (now part of Viasat) as Director of Regulatory Policy where she worked on developing and implementing global regulatory policy strategy.
Dr. Brazil-David has taken up the role of Director of International and Regulatory Affairs. She has a deep understanding of ITSO matters and extensive experience in satellite matters. Dr. Brazil-David holds a PhD in Law (S.J.D) from American University Washington College of Law and a LL.M. in International Trade Law from the University of Essex. She is fluent in Portuguese, English, Spanish and French.
