ITSO’s New Director General, Mr. Patrick Masambu, Assumes his Post Today
Today marks yet another important milestone in the roadmap of ITSO’s contribution towards achieving the objectives of the global ICT development agenda. Mr. Patrick Masambu, a citizen of Uganda, assumes the post of Director General of ITSO for four years, through July 2021.
Amended Article XII (C) (II) of the ITSO Agreement Entered Into Force
The 31st Extraordinary Assembly of Parties (AP-31), during the period 20-23 March 2007 in Paris, France, approved an amendment to Article XII, Paragraph (c)(ii) of the ITSO Agreement in order to protect the Parties’ Common Heritage orbital locations and associated frequency assignments in case of adverse or unforeseen situations.
The 37th Meeting of the Assembly of Parties; Elects Patrick Masambu as Director General
Washington DC, 14 October 2016 – Today, representatives from 120 member states of the International Telecommunication Satellite Organization (ITSO) concluded their deliberations at the 37th Assembly of Parties. The meeting was held in Washington, D.C. at American University’s Washington College of Law and was chaired by Mr. Nikolai Nikiforov, the Minister of Communications and Mass Media of Russia.
