The ITSO Advisory Committee (IAC), established at the Twenty-Seventh Assembly of Parties (AP-27), met at American University Washington College of Law in Washington, D.C. during the period 16-17 January 2020. The Eleventh Tripartite Meeting of the Heads of the European Telecommunications Satellite Organisation (EUTELSAT IGO), the International Mobile Satellite Organisation (IMSO) and the International Telecommunications Satellite Organisation (ITSO) took place at the IMSO Headquarters in London, United Kingdom, on 05 September 2019. The meeting was hosted by IMSO Director General, Captain Moin Ahmed and attended by Executive Secretary of EUTELSAT IGO Mr. Piotr Dmochowski-Lipski, Director General of ITSO, Mr. Patrick Masambu and Mr. John Shaw, Head of Operations and Capacity Building at IMSO.
ITSO/ITU Training on “Satellite Communications” for English Speaking Countries in Africa Held in Maputo, Mozambique
Maputo, Mozambique, June 28, 2019. A training workshop on Satellite Communications, as part of the Capacity Building partnership between the International Telecommunications Satellite Organization (ITSO) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), was held in Maputo, Mozambique, during the period of 24-28 June 2019. The workshop facilitators were Mr. Omar Ka from ITU and Mr. Edward Kasule Musisi from ITSO respectively, bringing together combined expertise and extensive experience in international radio regulation, satellite orbital resource use and coordination and satellite communications.
The Twenty-Second Meeting of the ITSO Advisory Committee (IAC-22)
The TWENTY-SECOND meeting of the ITSO Advisory Committee (IAC-22) was called to order on 30 May 2019 at 0930 Hours by the Director General, Mr. Patrick Masambu. The IAC-22 meeting was attended by 46 delegates representing 17 IAC member Parties. Delegates from the Parties of Angola, Chile, Republic of Congo, France, Malta, South Africa and Turkey also attended the meeting as observers.

ITSO/ITU Training on “Satellite Communications” for Latin America Region Held in Asunción, Paraguay
Asunción, Paraguay – April 26, 2019. A training workshop on Satellite Communications, as part of the Capacity Building partnership between the International Telecommunications Satellite Organization (ITSO) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), was held in Asunción, Paraguay, during the period of 22 to 26 April 2019. The workshop was hosted by the Commissión Nacional de Telecomunicationes (CONATEL) regulatory agency of the Republic of Paraguay. The facilitators were Mr. Pablo Palacios and Mr. Álvaro de Vega Moreno from the ITU, and Mr. Jesús Rivera from ITSO, bringing together combined expertise and extensive experience in international radio regulation, satellite spectrum use and coordination and satellite communications. The workshop was attended by 48 participants from Argentina, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay.
